A Modern Lodge Interior Design
We had the pleasure of completing this modern lodge interior design from the ground up, creating a second home and rental property that perfectly balances luxury and functionality. The project began with architectural plans, which we modified slightly to better suit the client’s needs. Every detail was carefully crafted, resulting in a home that reflects both rustic charm and modern elegance.
The kitchen is a true showstopper, featuring a custom copper range hood that stands as a work of art, dramatic iron pendants, a vintage sink faucet, and two dishwashers—every large family’s dream. Adjacent to the kitchen, the dining room seats 14 around a solid oak dining table and is anchored by a vintage-inspired hand-knotted rug. The chandelier in the dining space adds a touch of glamour, which is beautifully juxtaposed against the rustic surroundings. To balance the multiple wood stains throughout the home, the kitchen and dining areas feature linen-colored paint on the wood planks, adding a touch of brightness and cohesion.
The home also boasts two expansive decks, each equipped with an outdoor kitchen and a fireplace, providing ample space for outdoor entertaining on both levels. Inside, there are four suites plus a bunk room, along with five full bathrooms and a powder room. Every bathroom features unique finishes, such as custom-carved stone sinks and zero-entry walk-in showers, blending style with function.
The basement offers a cozy living room layout, complete with a game room perfect for family gatherings or rental guests. Rustic and vintage touches are woven throughout the entire home, showcasing the character of the house and the homeowner’s vision. From the smallest details to the largest design elements, this project, which took about 18 months to complete, reflects our dedication and passion. Every surface, finish, and paint color was chosen with meticulous care, making this home truly special.
