A Clean Modern Kitchen Design
This was a full gut of a kitchen in a 1920’s bungalow in Downtown Atlanta. These clients have a really unique taste that blends vintage themes, organic materials, and a modern flare. If you are looking for a timeless and classic design, white is always a good choice, but if you LOVE color and do it well, it can also be just as clean and aesthetic.
This particular project was completed in 2020 (just prior to the pandemic lockdowns – what a time!) and I love it just as much or more now than I did back then. Renovating an older home comes with its challenges, like reinforcing the floor supports, adding in additional insulation, bringing the home up to CODE, etc, but it turned out absolutely beautiful.
We really maximized the space for this clean modern kitchen design while keeping it visually airy and light. Aside from the cabinet color, we love the marble slab backsplash, kitchen ledge for additional storage on the range wall, and vintage Turkish area rug.
