A Luxury Basement in Brookhaven
Phase II of the Brookhaven Modern involved a complete basement finish and design. We started at the studs and created a beautiful and unique adult luxury basement for this family. The space includes a media room, poker table area, full bathroom, bar, and some additional storage space for the owners. Their number one request was a basement interior design that looked fun and had plenty of bottle storage.
One feature they wanted to include in the media room was a stylish and comfortable sleeper sofa, something we don’t often do. For the occasional guest, we chose an RH king sleeper, which is both aesthetically pleasing and provides the perfect amount of comfort. The homeowners chose a modern cityscape of DC to complement our unique art curation as an ode to the couple’s beginnings.
The bar space is complete with custom bourbon sipping cup storage, ceiling-mount shelving, and plenty of space for the owners’ impressive collection, both on display and behind closed doors. Finally, the mostly black-on-black bathroom is anything but boring. We paid special attention to pattern and texture, utilized two-toned fixtures, and have to shout out the framed photography appropriately named “Strut!”
This basement is the epitome of modern luxury interior design, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the result!
